Summer Challenge 2014

This years challenge involved a weeks intensive investigation of World War One.  Using the Ministry of Defence’s Were were There resources which charts the history of Black and Asian involvement in the British Armed forces.

WW1 hero Walter Tull proved himself in the army as well as a professional footballer. Other profiles include British spy Noor Inayat Khan, pilot Indra Lal Roy and Albert Marshall.

Participants worked with  Angga Kara, Raquel Cherry-Bent and visual Artist Jennifer Booth, musician JKAS and technical support was provided by Neon Tech.
